I'm afraid it does. It looks like they're getting rid of all the slower selling options on one model

20" Taragona Alloys
Xenons with rear LED lights
Body kit and badges
Electric rear tailgate
Keyless entry/start

The seats don't seem to have had an upgrade sadly. The rest are more nice-to-have things rather than essential in my book.

I like it, this is not much more than the standard car, and for that you are gaining a lot of nice extras.

Regardless i think you will appriciate the the lines on this model!! Russian is not Essential....

I looked at this the other day and couldn't see any R-line but thought it must be me....but you chaps are still talking about it and I can't see it...

Now I admit to being distracted by the leggy Russian lady....but surely in the UK it is still SE, Altitude, Escape, Hybrid and V8...??

Surely Altitude is UK's answer to R-line??

Now Tregless :(

I Think i would have chosen a different jacket, if i thought i had a chance at throwing her around the track...

It also has SEAT written on it?? But i bet he's wears it with pride down his local!!

I had a look on the website and as ever VW have not got everything syncronised.
The new UK price list has the Alltitude and the R-Line as different models but the rest of the website has no mention of an R-Line Touareg so I can t see what teh difference is apart from the added extras.

Looks like it's an Altitude with added extras and no Altitude discount.

Just checked the VW website myself and also can't find any link to the R-Line but it is there in the Spec and Price List brochure. Not in the current online brochure either (print date 01 Oct 2012)

Agree, seems like an Altitude with a bit more kit. Maybe being produced to offset the V8 if that gets dropped by VW - this is rumoured in Europe

I'm still struggling with the description on the price list....

'‘R-line’ body styling kit – unique front and rear bumpers and side skirts'.

In all the R-Line tagged pictures I've seen I still can't see a difference between the styling on the R-Line vs the Altitude - other than an R-Line bade and different standard wheels.

Admittedly the pictures are from around the world rather than the UK but I can't see VW wanted to produce another subtly different bumper set in the UK just to set it apart from the Altitude.

Perhaps, shock horror, a misleading description!?!
